    Matthew Kruger-Ross

    Matthew Kruger-Ross, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Higher Education Administration at WCUPA. He teaches graduate courses on educational technology, curriculum, and research methodologies. Matthew’s research interests include the philosophy of education and technology and its impact on educational practice, curriculum theory as it relates to teaching and being a teacher, and the intersection of philosophy of education and the hermeneutic phenomenology of Martin Heidegger.

    Sean Legnini

    Co-Founder

    Sean Legnini is a scholar and educator developing an ecophenomenological approach to education that roots learning in the lived, perceptual, and ecological realities of place. His work bridges rigorous philosophical thinking with the practical design of pedagogical experiences that help learners dwell meaningfully in the more-than-human world. As a co-founder of the PEXE Lab, Sean’s research centers on the experience of learning and how cultivating experiences for our students builds identity and a sense of being with the world.

    KC Thoman

    Undergraduate Researcher

    KC Thoman grew up in York, Pennsylvania, and is studying Secondary Education with minors in Communications, Civic and Professional Leadership, and Journalism. KC decided he wanted to become an educator because he has a passion for the pursuit of knowledge and an aversion to working weekends. (Spring 2024 - present)
